From Consignment EDI Processes to Regional API Integration for a Leading Global Apparel Brand

Last Updated: Jun 19, 2026

As commerce operations scale across channels and markets, seamless system integration becomes critical to operational efficiency and commercial growth. A leading global apparel brand in Thailand faced limitations in its existing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integration that created operational bottlenecks affecting inventory visibility, order accuracy, and reconciliation workflows. Intrepid addressed these challenges through PowerSell, its proprietary integration solution designed to connect core commerce systems across Southeast Asia.

The Challenge

The brand previously relied on another provider for its EDI integration, but implementation gaps began creating operational inefficiencies that limited scalability and slowed commercial execution.

The inbound process remained heavily manual, with limited visibility across delivery orders (DO), advanced shipping notice and goods receipt note (ASN/GRN) status, and inventory movements between enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, distribution centers (DC), and retail partners. Inconsistent file transfer implementation also led to missing, duplicate, or incorrect sales orders and returns, creating additional strain on operational workflows.

Reconciliation processes became increasingly time-consuming, with stock updates, transaction validations, and support requests managed manually through extensive email exchanges. These inefficiencies reduced operational agility and created challenges in maintaining accurate, real-time visibility across systems.

The Solution

To address these gaps, Intrepid implemented PowerSell, its proprietary integration platform built to streamline and automate commerce operations across OMS, WMS, ERP, and marketplace ecosystems.

The solution enabled automatic DO and ASN creation between SAP and PowerSell while integrating directly with warehouse management systems to support automated GRN posting into SAP. Clear transaction mapping, naming conventions, and cutoff structures were established to minimize incorrect transactions while enabling automated sales order and return synchronization.

To further strengthen operational reliability, the solution incorporated robust logging and retry mechanisms across transaction flows, improving system resilience and reducing operational disruptions. Automated weekly CSR reporting also simplified reconciliation processes and improved visibility across stakeholders.

The Impact

The integration transformation significantly improved operational efficiency, accuracy, and system visibility across the brand’s commerce ecosystem.

Key operational processes including stock, delivery order, sales order, and return synchronization achieved 100% automation, enabling near real-time visibility across sales and returns transactions.

The improved integration structure also reduced incorrect data entries in SAP to 0%, while automated reconciliation workflows drove a more than 90% reduction in reconciliation time.

In addition, enhanced monitoring and support workflows enabled more than 95% same-day response rates for operational support requests, improving issue resolution speed and overall system reliability.

By transitioning from fragmented EDI workflows to a scalable API-led integration framework, Intrepid enabled the brand to strengthen operational agility and support future regional commerce expansion across Southeast Asia.
